JUNE "prayer-starters" DAY 7

John 13:35—By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. NIrV—If you love one another, everyone will know you are my disciples.

I John 4:19-21—We love Him, because He first Loved us. If a man say, I Love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that Loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he Love God Whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from Him, That he who Loveth God Love his brother also. NIrV—We love because He Loved us first. Anyone who says he Loves God but in fact hates his brother or sister is a liar. He doesn’t Love his brother or sister, whom he has seen. So he can’t Love God, whom he has not seen. Here is the command God has given us. Anyone who Loves God must also Love his brothers and sisters.

Philippians 2:3-5—Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus… NIrV—Don’t do anything only to get ahead. Don’t do it because you are proud. Instead, be free of pride. Think of others as better than yourselves. None of you should look out just for your own good. You should also look out for the good of others. You should think in the same way Christ Jesus doe

FATHER, it seems demands are being made of me that are not just. I believe it is a matter that can be solved by Your Love. Please show me how I can Love and care for these who I think are using me unjustly.

Christ’s way of thinking tends toward the emptying of one’s self.—Phil 2:5-8

Day 7—It is the Love of God manifest in us that sets us apart as disciples of Christ Jesus. When we have given our heart over to believing in the Lord, people will see changes in us. One of the first, and the one that will be the most long-lasting, is the Love the Lord sheds abroad in our hearts. People all around us will see the change.
